Religious Life
The Department of Religious and Cultural Education provides religious functions, rituals and classes both for residents of Handmaker and their family members. Regular religious and cultural programming at HJSA includes Sabbath services, holiday celebrations, intergenerational programming and introductory classes on beliefs and observances. Religious & Cultural Programming

Ritual
- Friday Shabbat Services – 4:30 pm in the Rubin Neighborhood Café
- Saturday Shabbat Services – 9:30 am in the Great Room
- Catholic Mass – every other Thursday – 10:00 am in the Great Room

Study
- Monthly Torah Study – 1st Friday each month at 10:00 am
- Monthly Talmud Study – 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am

Cultural Arts
- On-going seasonal activities throughout the year, including the Harvest Festival, Multi-Cultural “Holiday Happening” and Spring Festival
